Our Story
A founder-led company making original work — not pitching to VCs, not following playbooks. Just building.
The Founder
After years at Verizon, Corey left to build something he actually owned — something that started from a real place and solved real problems.
He runs two businesses out of the Copper Basin: ORR Media, a software and media company, and Ocoee River Retreat, a short-term vacation rental that became the proving ground for Welcenter.
The software came from running the rental. The characters came from loving this landscape. Everything here is built from lived experience, not market research.
The Two Businesses
The parent company. Home to Welcenter, the animation pipeline, Easterwoods, and Whiskerwoods. Software and creative IP under one roof.
A short-term vacation rental on the Ocoee River — and the original proving ground for Welcenter. The product grew directly out of the problem.
The Stack
Backend foundation for Welcenter — proven, fast, portable.
Native mobile integration for the Welcenter guest experience.
Node-based image generation pipeline for character art and scenes.
Lip-sync animation for character video content.
Portrait animation — bringing static characters to life.
No framework dependency where none is needed. Clean, fast, owned.
How We Work
Welcenter exists because we ran a vacation rental. Easterwoods exists because this landscape deserves its own characters. We solve problems we've actually lived.
No licensing dependency on tools we don't control. No IP we can't take anywhere. Everything we build — code, characters, brands — belongs to us.
The Copper Basin isn't Silicon Valley. It's better for some things. We make work that could only come from here — and that's the point.
Next Step
Whether you're interested in Welcenter, have a creative project, or just want to connect — the door's open.
